NEPALI FOOD IN MY LIST-PART I
Well, this
is my first food blog that I really wanted to do from so long. As being a foodie person I always wanted to try distinct food with dope taste. Right now
I’m in India for my studies and I miss my home so badly especially when it comes
to food, I feel like; get the ticket booked and go back home. I wish everything is easy as expected. I have captured
these foods in my summer holidays. If

Foodies, you
may know the cravings of food, when you don’t get the food you wanted really bad & that’s what I go through most of the time.
Today my
blog will be something different that is only related to food. I have presented
you all here with some of the famous and my favorite food of Nepal.
MOMO
When it
comes to momo, you can get it in every corner of Kathmandu & other cities.
It’s also taken as Nepalese people favorite & everyday “KHAJA”. It’s
basically originated from Tibet in which fillings is done with meat or
vegetables.
You can serve momo with its special achar(pickle). You can try out
steamed/C/Fried or kothey momo as per your choice.
NEWARI SET
Newari set
is always favorite food that is in my list. In this case I do have lots of
Newari friend so I’m always invited when they do have Newari bhoj. This set is
mixture of distinct foods that is authentic as well as luscious in taste. Bara,
choila,chuira,chatamari and many more dish are included in Newari set.
Kritipur,Patan & Bhaktapur are the best place to try this set.
YOMARI
Even though
this food carries some cultural values of Newari community but it’s being quite
common with other people too. Basically we get two types of Yomari made from
rice flour in which sweet fillings is done with Chaku & Khuwa. This dish is
eaten in Yomari puj but we can enjoy them any time.
JUJU DHAU
Juju Dhau
mean king of curd. This curd is famous in Bhaktapur & widely consumed by
many people in other cities too.
This luscious yoghurt is made from buffalo milk which is sweet in taste and has
special process to make it. Do try it when you visit Bhaktapur if you haven’t tried
it yet.
TINGMO & BUFF PHINGI
One of the
famous food that we can get in Baudha area.
This Tibetan dish is widely consumed especially in Tibetan community where it’s
being in the choice of other people too. Tingmo in made from flour which is
steamed where as Buff Phngi is made with translucent noodles, potatoes &
buff meat.
CHOWMEIN
Again coming
back to the everyday dish Chowmein is always there in the list of Nepalese
people. It’s easy to make and available everywhere. We can get buff/chicken/veg
chowmein. I picked this picture as I got this chowmein different & the way
they served in unique with Kema toppings. You can get this one in Boudha.
